| MAC'S is a family-owned and operated canoe livery and guide service located near the St. Regis Canoe Area, a remote area about 10 miles from the village of Saranac Lake and 20 miles from Lake Placid. We have over 40 years combined professional experience and are familiar with the various waterways and forests of the Adirondacks, including the St. Regis Canoe Area, Raquette River and Saranac Lake Wild Forest. We can lead on guided trips or assist you in planning your own canoe adventure. Your vacation is our business! MAC's rents and sells new and used Wenonah kevlar and royalex canoes and is the Adirondack dealer for GRB Newman Design canoes. All rentals come with paddles and PFDs. We also provide you with foam blocks and straps to enable you to carry the canoe on your vehicle, or if you prefer, we can transport it for you. In our store, we carry local maps, guidebooks, flashlights, batteries and other last minute items. In 2005, MAC's established the Adirondack Watershed Alliance (AWA) to coordinate the Adirondack Canoe & Kayak race series, including the Adirondack Canoe Classic, "The 90-Miler." Our base is in a great location for paddlers. MAC'S is at the edge of
the St. Regis Canoe Area in Lake Clear, near the NYS Fish Hatchery and
Little Clear Pond. We are easy to find on Rte 30. Numerous paddling options
are just moments away. · The "Canoe Wilderness" is our backyard. |
